Do I need a different charger for LiFePO4 Lithium Batteries?
Yes. LiFePO4 has its own specific charge profile. Pairing a LiFePO4 battery with the correct charger and charge rate ensures cells are charged effectively. Using the wrong charger will adversely affect cycle life. We recommend Victron and RedArc chargers — contact us for compatibility advice.
Is this the exploding type of Lithium?
No. LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) has excellent thermal stability — it is not explosive. This is a very different chemistry from the Lithium Cobalt Oxide used in phones and laptops, which can catch fire. LiFePO4 is specifically designed for deep-cycle applications in caravans, boats, and off-grid systems.
Does the Revolution Power battery come with a built-in BMS?
Yes. Every Revolution Power battery includes an inbuilt Battery Management System (BMS) that protects against overcharge, over-discharge, over-temperature, and short circuit.
How many cycles will a Revolution Power battery last?
Our batteries are rated for 3,000+ cycles at 80% depth of discharge. In comparison, lead-acid batteries typically deliver 300–500 cycles. For most users, this represents 8–12+ years of regular use.
Can I use 100% of the capacity?
Yes. Unlike lead-acid batteries where using more than 50% capacity causes accelerated degradation, LiFePO4 can be discharged to 100% DoD without damage. In practice, a 100Ah LiFePO4 delivers the same usable energy as a 200Ah lead-acid battery.
What chargers do you recommend?
We recommend and use Victron Energy and RedArc products. Other compatible brands include Master Volt, TBS, CTEK, and Sterling. Contact us if you have questions about charger compatibility with a specific model.
Can I connect multiple batteries in parallel or series?
Yes. Revolution Power batteries can be connected in parallel (same voltage, more Ah) or series (higher voltage, same Ah). We recommend matching batteries of the same model and age. Contact us for advice on multi-battery configurations.
Do Revolution Power batteries work with Victron Energy equipment?
Yes — and they're optimised for it. Our CAN Bus models integrate directly with Victron Cerbo GX, MPPT charge controllers, and MultiPlus inverter/chargers. All Revolution Power batteries are compatible with Victron charging profiles.
What warranty do I get?
